Dribble for Destiny's summer camps are extremely valuable to the athletes that are trying to take their game to the next level. They give advanced athletes the ability to continue working on their game while also giving younger athletes an opportunity to learn the fundamentals. There is no off-season, but during the summer is when athletes can work on their strengths and weakness, developing confidence to carry into their season of play.
Camps are offered at various locations, giving you an opportunity to commute to a gym in your area/region.
A typical day at camp looks like this:
9:00 a.m. - Arrival
9:10 a.m. - 9:40 a.m. - Stations (single ball, two ball, shooting, passing, defensive footwork, four square, knock out, 2-on-2, and knock away)
9:40 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Team concepts (offensive team concepts include primary break, transition, secondary break, and triangles; defensive concepts include
zig-zag drill, box out, shell drill, trapping, and press)
10:00 a.m. - 10:10 a.m. - Devotion (this year's theme is based on Acts 1:8)
10:10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - Contests by age group (speed shot, knock out, hot shot, pressure free throws)
10:30 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. - Snack and video
10:50 a.m. - 12:00 noon - Full court play
Please note: refunds are not given for unused training. Athletes that cannot finish a commitment to a team or training are redirected to camps and clinics.
